Dr. Carol Otis says that iron-deficiency anemia, or tired blood, is the most common form of the disease. While heavy exercise can increase the demand for more iron, it is important to stay on top of your eating strategy if you are diagnosed with anemia.

Treating anemia caused by dietary deficiencies is possible through supplementation with iron or vitamin B-12 and by making changes to the diet. It is important to talk to your healthcare provider about implementing a proper eating strategy.
