We are all familiar with the notion that breaking up your meals into smaller, more frequent meals helps boost metabolism. It is true that going long stretches without eating is proven to slow one’s metabolism. However, a recent study from the University of Ottawa yielded different results. In fact, sometimes eating more often makes people hungrier.

Dietitians from the Cleveland Clinic agree that it all comes down to total daily calories for weight loss/control. Generally speaking, eating the proper amount of calories throughout the day is more important than being concerned with timing and splitting portions.
